Titus meet Elsa, Elsa meet your big brother Titus.
Titus came home to some wonderful balloons, and in a distant second, a little sister. Titus was just curious enough to look at her, then go play. Pretty much did what Mom and Dad expected for him to do. Later that evening though, he decided he wanted to inspect a little further. He started with a pat on her leg, and felt her soft clothes. Then he touched her hat and her nose. He still loves to look at her with such curious intent. Soon he will expect her to run around and play with him! Enjoy some photos!

Elsa Providence Carnahan
Welcome Elsa Providence Carnahan! Elsa was born at 1:12am this morning. She weighed 7lbs. 4oz. and measured 21" long. She and Mommy are doing great and we are all excited to go home soon.
Elsa was supposed to be born today, just not quite so early. Our doctor had planned to induce Tiffany at 7:30am this morning, but Elsa's more of a late night person, so she got the party started last night at dinner. We were out with friends and family enjoying a meal when the contractions came on strong. We left Titus in good hands and came to the hospital. A short six hours later, Elsa was here. And I must say, this delivery was very smooth. Pushing only took 10-15 mins and wasn't nearly as tough on Mommy (or Daddy for that matter) when compared to her big brother. Speaking of big bro Titus, he's doing well with his favorite babysitter.
God's ways are higher than our own. We've learned that you don't have to understand why things happen the way they do, but trust that His providence will bring the greatest blessings. And it has...

What's it gonna be??
We are ready for a girl or a boy! Soon we will be a family of four. Okay, five if you count Jones. So those of you waiting to see if its a girl to send us girly pink, we do have some girly pink already! We even have a cute little hat with flowers. Thanks for the loans Nellie! But even Titus has plenty of yellow and green outfits he can contribute to his new little sister. If it's a boy, obviously we are set.
Either way, we are going to be happy. The baby's crib is all set-up, complete with a new space heater to keep the nursery nice and warm.
All we need now is the baby to come into the world. Our doctor has decided the baby will be coming before Tuesday. If we don't go into labor before then, we will be induced Tuesday morning. So not too much longer to wait!

Keeping Busy!
First off, Congratulations to John and Jessica! They have a beautiful baby girl as of yesterday morning. Oh how precious are the pictures of that little one. Enjoy those first few days of home time, they are precious and important. Love you guys.
We are so close to the end of this pregnancy, and I still have things on my lists to do, but they are not so important. I am just trying to keep busy and distracted. Yesterday I was super busy! A few friends came over and we had a "hair party." I received a call from one friend and she asked if I could chop her hair off and donate it to Locks of Love. Of course I said YES!!! You can explore what Lock of Love is on your own, but here is a simple explanation. A company that takes human hair and makes wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to illness. They do have restrictions and requirements. One requirement is for the hair to be at least 10 inches long in the ponytail intended for donation. We had plenty.
One of the other friends who came over had previously donated her hair through me. It was the first time I had ever cut her hair! Although I had cut a donation cut before, I was nervous back then, and yes I was nervous this time too! But all went well. :)
Here is our before photo, clearly she has lots and lots of hair!
And After! She still has lots of hair! She couldn't keep her hands out of it! I was so different to run her fingers through such short hair.
And these are the 10+ inch ponytails headed for a young person in need of a hairpiece.
Hope you enjoyed, I know I did!

First Post of the Year
Happy New Year to all. We celebrated the New Year on East Coast time this year. Sad, but we were just tired. But new things are happening this year. We are at the point of no return in the pregnancy, meaning, if any labor starts it won't be stopped! Baby Carnahan will be entering the world sometime soon.
We are just about 37 weeks along. Titus was born just after 38 weeks, but anything goes. I was ready for Titus to be late, and he came early. I have been ready for this one to early so its probably gonna be late. :) We have cleaned up and set up the pack n play in our room. I have pulled out the newborn clothes, and separated the baby toys from the toddler toys. So as close as we are, we are as ready as we can be at this point. We have arrangements for Titus, and the dog. All we need now is a new baby.
