Church Nursery!

Titus stayed in the nursery at church this morning! He played with some of his friends in there. Brayden, and Melia, and Daniel, just to name a few. We are so excited to let him stay in there so that we both can concentrate on gleaning what we need from the message. He is to the point where he will eat at 8 and then again at 11, which is perfect for 9am service. He arrives happy and ready to play, and he leaves ready for a nap!

Also in our development, Titus has more closely noticed his feet and toes. He can't get them to his mouth yet, but he has tried! He will grab at his toes and bring his hands to his mouth. He is so close! And as you can see below he is using his feet to grab his toys too! He loves this toy :) His tummy time is gaining strength as well. He is pushing up to his elbows, and sometimes his hands for short times. Mommy is working with him on the roll action, but we are learning.

And before you ask, we will start rice cereal in maybe a month. It is traditional to start solid foods between four and six months. Our doc has told us that it might be beneficial to wait till closer to six months. I am excited to start feeding him, but I am okay to wait a while to get messy!

Date Night

We asked some friends of ours to watch Titus on Friday night. We have such great friends to watch the little one for us. We went out to a nice dinner and had a really great time. We went to Red Lobster and enjoyed yummy shrimp. I have been wanting to go to Red Lobster for a few months now, so Jordan was thoughtful and took me! He is so sweet to take me out for a date, and to take me to a place I wanted to go.

Doctor's Appointment

Titus had a doctor's appointment today. It went well. Our doc checked him over and answered all our questions. He has definitely grown. (we both can feel the "burn" as we carry his carseat)

Weight: 15lbs
Height: 25 inches

And he received more vaccinations. Again, I didn't look, he cried for a moment and stopped as soon as I picked him up. Check out his super cute crayon shaped band aids! He took a good long nap after his appointment.

Christmas Part Two

Christmas Eve Day we traveled back up interstate 75 to Bellevue. We helped finish wrapping gifts, took a cat nap and got dressed and ready for a family filled evening. Titus loved learning about more cousins and uncles. Aunt Angie made him laugh and smile so big, we weren't sure she was ever going to put Titus down!

Christmas Day we ventured to Maysville to see Great Grandma Lizzie. Yay! We get a plate on the wall soon. Something Tiffany has wanted for a while. While there, we got to meet lots more family, some that had traveled almost as far as we had.

Jordan and I took MacKenzie and Megan to Graeter's for ice cream one afternoon. It was so much fun. MacKenzie can talk an ear off!! We LOVED it! Titus stayed with grandma and grandpa for the short time. Which was so nice.

We loved visiting family and friends. Titus loves to meet new family and he sure did his fair share of it. Thank you to everyone who kept Titus for any amount of time to give Jordan and I some time out by ourselves. We enjoyed our time with family and our time out together. Thank you for good food, great conversations and just being family. We love you and thanks for making Titus' first Christmas memorable.

Christmas 08 Part One

Fresh of the 6hr plane ride, we were ushered to a tasty meal at a Northern KY favorite of ours, Dixie Chili. While stuffing our faces with chili-topped hotdogs, we had to carefully keep our eye on Grandpa Rodney, who seemed to be eyeing the carseat and the door a little bit too often. After completing the road portion of our biathalon (I guess they have those...at least spell checker says its a word), we finally arrived in London. We were warmly greeted by Nana and Popi, and Nana was gracious enough to give Titus a bath to scrub off all the airplane yuckies. Thank you Nana! It may have not seemed like much, but after a full day of travel, that bath was exactly what all of us needed.

Our stay in London included lots of great meals with lots of great family. Titus didn't realize he had so many cousins! We have a great fussy face picture with Aunt Ashley! But we loved looking at Chris and Ashley's wedding photo's. Ashley makes such a beautiful bride and Chris didn't look like a total doofus, so all and all the photos turned out pretty good.

Grandad made Titus make the funniest noises. It's like they had their own little language. Titus loved looking at him and laughing. But one of the funnest things was to see Uncle E interact with Titus. We never got him to change a "poopie diaper," but we could definitely tell he is proud to be an uncle. They enjoyed laying on the couch together and watching cartoons. It was also fun to watch Uncle E learn to fly his helicopter. Keep working on those landings!!

We also went to see Seth play a basketball game. That was great time, and we had lots of fun taking pictures! Awesome steal and lay-up Seth!! Thank you for inviting us to your game. We truly enjoyed our time in the bleachers with Erin Anne and Lauren.

Granny made a delicious Christmas meal, the cranberry bread and apple cake were especially yummy. We sure liked playing with Papaw on the floor too!

And all the presents were perfect. Thank you all so much for everything. More to come soon...
