Trying to walk

Titus *loves* his new walker. Well... okay, he actually just cries when he walks with it, but it is helping. He will stand up on the couch and turn around and transfer to the coffee table. He looks at me or Jordan and just smiles! He is so proud of himself for doing just about anything these days. The little girl at church that is a day younger than Titus has been walking for at least a month now. People do say girls are faster learners than boys. That is okay by me. He will walk when his little body is ready.

One of his favorite things to do now is to climb the one little step in the house and sit at the top and wave his arms up and down and grunt, saying "mommy help me down." So I pick him up, take him across the room to a corner full of toys, and he crawls right back to the step! Ahhh, the excersice! :)

Our new nugget has been giving me worse headaches this time around. Either that or just the combination of Titus and the new baby. I will try to nap with Titus, but sometimes he only gives me an hour. :( With him in my belly I could nap all I wanted, (usually about 2 or 3 hours). But I shouldn't complain. I have a wonderful husband that will let me sleep in on the weekends and go to bed earlier in the evenings, while he cares for Titus.

And while we are at it, here is a the first belly pic of the second baby!

ROUND 2!!!

That's right. We're expecting again. As you can see Titus is excited to have a baby brother or sister (and so are Mommy and Daddy). Tiffany is ~12 weeks along and had her the first ultrasound for the new baby last week. The baby measured 4.7 cm long (that's about as long as a shelled peanut) and his or her heart rate was 162 beats per min (perfectly normal for this stage).

We can't find out what sex the baby is yet, and to be honest; we might not find out for this one. There are so few surprises as great as this in life and maybe it would be fun to be surprised. The other game we are considering to play would be to let the ultrasound technician write it down in a sealed envelope and see which one of us cracks first.

Not to be outdone by a photograph, Titus has a special video he'd like to share with everyone. Although we aren't quite walking on our own yet, we are definitely developing the skill set. Watch and enjoy!

Our first time using a "fork/spoon" thingy. We are eating yogurt. Maybe mom chose the wrong thing to start with... it is EVERYWHERE!!! So much fun :)

He is actually getting the hang of it. He just drops the utensil in the bowl then picks it up. It doesn't matter which end, he just sticks it in his mouth. I am not sure how he got it on his forehead, but we need a bath anyways.

Preparing for our trip to KY

Well things couldn't be more busy right now. Over the past few days we have been preparing our old house to go up on the market, our new house for flooring to be laid and packing ourselves for the trip. I know I for one am ready for some R&R if I can find it as work has been unbelievable busy on top of the aforementioned tasks.

Here are some home improvement updates:

Our subfloor is ready for the hardwood installers.

The new floor (92 boxes @ 30 lbs. each.) has arrived and is stacked in the house.

Close-up of the new bamboo floor. It's going to look great!

And if you thought I would make a new blog post without showing you a picture of Titus, you're wrong. Here he is, ready to see those grandparents! See you guys soon!

Mobile?

Mobility is the new thing to look for now! He does not crawl yet, but he sure can get around. He is rolling, and flopping, and pushing around. Now, its my job to just watch him and make sure he doesn't bonk his head on anything. :) He is enjoying trying to climb all over us when we sit down with him. He is becoming so much fun!
His teeth have cut their way out, and the pain has subsided. Thankfully we had a great night last night! I hope the rest of his teeth don't give us this much trouble. But, if they do we know how to handle them.
That's all for now.

Work & More

We have been working hard for a while now. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Not too much left to go. I changed the slideshow pictures from Christmas to our current progress on the new home. This has been such a learning curve, but it has been fun. We had some inclement weather this weekend.
That is not snow, it is hail! Poor Jones was outside when it started, but this picture was taken when it was finished. It cooled off and it was lovely to go outside and breath the fresh air
Titus has been having fun too. We have been blessed with friends who are willing to take care of him. The past two Saturdays Titus has been playing all day with his friend Asher M. They are maybe 2 1/2 months apart. Titus comes home happy and relaxed. And we are happy and relaxed knowing he is in good hands, and out of the construction zone!

Titus has also been doing some precursor movements to crawling! It wont be long now till he is off and running. We are still working on the top two teeth and they are still giving us troubles. Sad, but lots of snuggles!
