New Home

Titus has a new home! But before he can move into his new room, we have to "fix it up." Jordan and I have chosen this house for its larger living areas and larger back yard. We are looking forward to having plenty of space for Titus and all his friends to play and run around.

We will be posting pictures of the fixing up process, but, when it is finished, we will do the whole before and after pictures! We are so excited

We have jumped right into the "fixing up. " Here are some results from the first weekend. More to come soon!

A Nice Walk in the Park

We have a concrete walk path behind our house along the arroyo (aqua-duct), that we like to take walks along. Jones enjoys the path and a good walk, and so do we. The path borders the neighborhood to the south of us, and that neighborhood has a nice playground. Titus is sitting up really well now, so we ventured over and put him in the swing. Boy did he have fun. Just look at those faces he is making. He really didn't stop smiling the whole time!! We enjoyed watching him so much we decided to join in the swinging action. We had so much fun, and even Jones enjoyed himself.

More 6 month Photos (Sneak Peak Part 2)

Here are some more photos from Tammy.

And before anyone asks (or criticizes!!)...Titus loves being hung upside down. He's a little monkey!

Tammy will have the full set of photos up in our gallery when her new website is finished. Apparently it will be possible to order online when she's done, so it will be a great convenience for everyone. We are looking forward to it.

sixth month check up

The results of the Appointment today were as follows,

weight: 16lbs 12oz.
height: 26.5 inches

Everything looks great. He is a healthy growing boy. Only the 25th percentile for his weight, but with him sitting up and playing so much he burns more calories. And as he starts to move more and tries to crawl he will burn more. Thus, in my mind, being able to wear his clothes longer!! Yay!
Life is going well!

Mommy's New Book

Upon reccomendation from a mother friend of mine, I purchased a book called "Mommy Made* *and Daddy too!" by Martha and David Kimmel. I bought the book used, and it has seen better days, but the words are good. I have been skimming through some things and reading others intently.
I read the sentence,

"In any event, your baby has a great need to touch , see, smell, mush, and smear food before deciding to eat it."

Up till now Jordan and I have just 'fed' Titus. This sentence changed the way I thought about introducing food to him. It made perfect sense. Children explore thier world by using all of thier senses, why should eating be any different. The book goes on to say he will learn table manners later by emulating us at the dinner table.

How did we do? tell us what you think he is eating!
Boy, did he enjoy mushing!!
